Our Process.

From concept to delivery

Start here..

Not sure what work needs doing to your section before you can put a house on it?

Don't worry we have you covered, from start to finish we are here to give you the best expert advice.

In addition to providing advice, we also conduct site inspections and can provide a comprehensive quote outlining the necessary work for your location.

1. Your plans

Book a time with us to discuss your home ideas. Choose one of our standard plans, modify a plan or sit down with our designer to craft your own unique design.

If you're looking for a lending provider who specialise in Prefabricated Building financing, Westpac are the experts to contact. View our "Other Services" page for more information and contact details.

2. Your Site

We need to confirm your site has suitable access for a transportable home. Once we know a location, we can supply a transport estimate to give you an idea of the additional cost to transport your new home.

The route to your build site can determine a few factors, like the size and width of your build. So, it's best to discuss with us first where your site is located.

Geotech, soil reports and titles will be required.

3. Contract

Once we have confirmed your plans and quoted your build price, we will send you a Master Build Contract and your quote letter to sign.
Upon signing a $5,000 deposit will be required prior to submitting your plans to council.

4. Council

To make the building process as stress-free as possible for you, we submit your plans to council and take care of all the paperwork involved. If council requires any further documentation, we handle this as well and will keep you updated along the way.

Our transportable yard is located in the Waikato District Council. Building consents for this council can take 4 weeks to be approved.

Once all relevant documents are obtained for your build site, we will also apply for the building consent for your local region.

5. Pre-production meeting

It's time to meet with the team to choose your colours and fittings and discuss other important features of your build.

After this we will book you in to also meet with our Kitchen Designer to choose your kitchen layout, colours and materials. Flooring, hardware, glass, bathroom fixtures and paint colours will also need to be chosen.

6. Let's start building!

Once council has approved your plans and your building consent is issued, we can start construction on your new home.

Your new home will be built in our yard and will take 14-16 weeks to be completed. At each stage, we will update you with photos and reports, via our customer portal, so you know exactly where things are at with your build.

7. Walk through

3-4 weeks after construction starts your roof will be on and you will get to visit your new home! We will arrange a time for a walk through, where you will meet with the production manager and the electrician. This is an important stage of the build, as this is the time when you will confirm your lighting plan and placement of fixtures and fittings.

8. Build completed

Your new home has been completed and code of compliance has been granted. Congratulations!
The truck for transport has been booked and we have notified you on the date it will arrive.

Now it's time for you to arrange service connections for your site, a local electrician, plumber and drain layer. If you need help with this, we have contacts in most areas.

9. Final walk through

If possible, we arrange a final walk through with you before delivery to your site. It will be the first time you get to see your finished home in person. It's a good time to double check everything is as it should be, before it gets loaded on the truck.

10. Transportation

The time has come for your home to be transported to site!

The transporting company will do a final inspection of the roads a week prior to delivery to ensure there are no surprises along the way.

The truck will arrive in our yard and load your home, then drivers head off for a sleep because at 11pm its time to get on the road. House transportation can only be done between the hours of 11pm-6am.

Once they make it to site, it's time to position the house, dig the pile holes, pour the concrete, book the inspector and lower the home onto its foundations. It takes a lot of skill and effort to get this right and we work with the best in the industry to ensure it is.

11. Gtee & After Travel Maintenance

To provide easy access to all your build documentation, we will send you a link to a Gtee customer portal account, where all your important building documents, including council paperwork and warranties will be kept. Your 10-year Master Build Guarantee will also be sent to you which is transferable to new owners if you choose to sell your home within the 10-year warranty period.

Once your home is on-site, our maintenance crew will visit to sort out any touch up requirements that may have occurred during travel.

11. Maintenance After 12 Months

As part of your Master Build Guarantee we offer a one-off maintenance touch-up 12 months after the completion of your home. It can be normal to see some minor cracking in walls as the house settles into place.

All you need to do is notified us in writing along with any photos of the issue. Not everyone requires this service, but it is available for all our customers. (Does not apply to general wear and tear).
